LITTLE SOMERFORD THE STREET ST 98 SE (north side) 3/270 Pound Penn GV II Former rectory, large 1866 house added to a C17 range, retained as service wing, rubble stone with stone slate roof. 1866 range is tall 2 1/2 storeys with two parallel ranges, coped gables and stacks in valley and on north side wall. Paired east gables have Tudor- arched single lights to attics, first floor large 2-light, single light and 2-light mullion-and-transom windows and ground floor large 1:2:1-light canted bay, pointed-arched doorway with hoodmould and 2-light, windows all mullion-and-transom. Squared rubble stone, flush quoins and raised plinth. South front has full-height 1:2:1-light canted bay to left, 2-light each floor to right and single light to first floor centre, all mullion-and-transom. West side has gables in stepped arrangement, similar Tudor-arched attic lights, 2-light stair-light and door to left gable, 2-light ground floor window to advanced right gable. Older range, parallel to north wall has end stacks, two ground floor cambered-head triple casements to east end, north front 16-pane sash with 12-pane sash over to left, then projecting tall gable to right with casements and east side door.
