Manor Farmhouse
II
House, C17 timber-frame, core, extended and refaced in render in
early C19. Two parallel ranges with hipped imitation stone slate
roofs, original range to west with north end stack, added range to
east with side stack. Two storeys. South front has slightly
advanced gable end of original house to left, two-window with 16-
pane sashes to left, door with hood on brackets and 12-pane sash
each floor. Said to have been the manor house of the second
Somerford manor, called Somerford Mompesson or Somerford Bolles.
