South end gable has ashlar canted bay with pierced parapet and upper window with hoodmould and carved animal head stops. To right of cross wing gable on east front, a matching one-window section with north stack, 2-light each floor, upper window under dormer gable, this section possibly an early addition. Attached at rear north west angle is service range, the east gable with ashlar bellcote and 4- centred arched windows with hoodmoulds, 2-light above moulded string, door and 3-light below. Door is set in 3-sided Tudor- arched open stone porch in angle to north wall of main house. A large south west rear wing was added c1910 with flat-roofed 2- storey block in angle and gabled cross wing at west end. House was formerly known as Hilmarton Lodge and was the principal house of the Poynder family Hilmarton estate, sold 1914 by 1st Lord Islinqton.
