House, C16 or earlier, raised in C17. Timber-frame and painted brick to front, rubble stone to rear. Ridge and East end stacks. Thatched hipped roof. Two storeys. North front has exposed framing with upper windows above original wall-plate. Added upper framing has angle bracing. One centre four light timber-mullion window with leaded lights and carved lintel. C20 windows each side. Left side and East end wall are rebuilt in painted brick. Ground floor has C20 lean-to projection with door, heavy square framing to right and one C20 three light leaded window. West end wall is rubble stone with timber-framing under eaves. Rear is mostly sandstone and ironstone rubble with one C18 three light beaded stone mullion window to first floor left.

Interior: Centre heavy chamfered spine beam with stepped stops. Timber-lintel fireplace. Roof has two heavy trusses of previous steeper-pitched roof within. Some smoke-blackening, possibly indicating former hall-house.
