Pair of houses, 2 periods, earlier and late C18 (dated 1709/10, see below).
Lower right-hand part of fine herringbone-tooled sandstone, extended to left and
raised to 3-storey height in margined similar stonework. Pantiled roof with
stone ridge, copings, kneelers and stacks. Each house 3 storeys, 1 wide bay.
Holme Dale, to right, has right 6-panel door under gabled bracketed hood.
Ground and first floor 16-pane sashes, second floor 9-pane sash, all with
projecting cills. Sunny Vale has 4-panel door under inscribed stone of doubtful
age: Sunny Vale built in the eight year of the reign of her late Majesty Queen
Anne. Modern wood door surround with bracketed top; windows the same as Holme
Dale. Each has a stack at left; kneelers of different patterns.
