House, now shop. Probably first half C16, refronted mid-C19, with some mid-C20 alterations. Brick cladding to timber-frame with machine tile roof. Three storeys, left-hand part of front canted back, dentilled brick cornice; one plus two windows: sashes with tripartite glazing under painted stone lintels; second floor: as first but with wooden lintels; ground floor: pilastered shop front with scroll brackets to cornice; three plate glass shop windows with two entrances, that to left is recessed with overlight and glazed, similarly the entrance to the right. Interior not inspected, but contains continuation of timber-frame from no 46 (qv) adjoining to left.
