Farmhouse, now house. Mid-C18, altered mid-C19. Sandstone rubble with
ashlar dressings; slate roofs with gable-end parapets and finials and
ashlar stacks at east end of main ridge, centre of west wing ridge and
at west side of west wing roof. L-plan comprised of main three-bay range
aligned east/west with cross-wing at west end projecting to south. Two
storeys and attic with ashlar string at first floor level. Windows have
hoodmoulds with returns. Main south elevation: main range has two ground
floor and three first floor 12-pane sashes. Entrance at left end has a
flat ashlar canopy on moulded ashlar brackets, a six-panelled door and a
transom light. Gable end of wing to left has a ground and first, floor 2-
light large chamfered mullioned window, each light containing an 8-pane
sash. There is an attic light in the gable. A single-storey wing at the
east end now forms part of the house and has a square window and C20
door in its south elevation. Main entrance door at rear of house similarly
detailed to that in the south elevation; it is also situated adjacent to
the cross-wing forming a through passage.
