Orangery about 10 yards
to west of
Holme Lacy House

Orangery. Probably late C17 with later alterations. Brick with limestone
dressings and hipped Welsh slate roof. Rectangular plan of 5 by 2 bays
aligned east/west. One storey. South elevation has five windows, each
round-headed with continuous fluted surround and dropped keystone and
containing large glazing bar sash. Centre window has steps. Moulded stone
cornice and plain brick and stone parapet. Stone quoins. Entry through
two-leaved doors in similar round-headed opening to right-hand return.
Interior has pegged king-post trusses. (BoE, p 195; RCHM, Vol I, p 100).
