4/98 Lane Farmhouse
- 26.1.67 GV II GV Farmhouse. Probably C17. Timber-framed with plaster and brick infill, plain tiled roofs, external local type stone stack with detached brick shaft to north-west. Square plan consisting of two gabled bays facing south-west fronting a two-bay cross-wing to rear: Two storeys and attics, two by two bays. South-west elevation: two gabled fronts, the left slightly narrower than the right; 12-paned early C19 casement to ground floor left, above it a similar window of nine panes. Two-light mid-C19 casement to first floor of right gable and beneath, slightly left of centre, a ledged door. Both gables have exposed collars, the left hand one supported by two queen struts and the right, appropriately for its greater width by three. Frame: four panels high; south-east gable has V-struts above collar. (RCHM Vol II, p 180).
