Inn. Probably late C17 to early C18 with later extensions. Timber-frame with brick and plaster infill, C19 sandstone rubble catslide extension to left; tiled roofs with off-ridge stone stack and brick shaft to centre of hipped roof. L-plan with wings to south-east and north-east. Two storeys and attics, 1:1:1 windows, 2- and 3-light late C19 and early C20 casements, with one window to each floor of left extension and gable front to right, entry in glazed early C20 porch to right hand side. Frame is five panels high on range with off-ridge stack and four panels high on gabled range behind entry, the latter part has large diagonal struts to side return to south-west and angled struts to corner posts of gable. Interior: principal room of south-east wing has beams with run-out lambs tongue chamfer-stops. (RCHM Vol II, p 155).
