ST 36 NW KEWSTOKE C.P. WOODSPRING PRIORY

1/4 East cloister wall (formerly listed as walled 9.2.61 courtyard S. of farmhouse)

Remaining wall of cloisters. C15. Rubble. 4 metres high wall: to west, buttresses with weathered capping, inset gargoyles. At east corbels for cloister roof members. South end has remains of a circular stair turret with moulded arched doorway. At north end, a doorway with four centred head and double ogee surround with large stops; there is a later porch with outer chamfered doorway. Source: Woodspring Priory, D.J. Tomalin, 1974.
