Details

BIBURY CHURCH ROAD SP 1006-1106 (east end) 11/79 Richard Marchant monument in the churchyard approximately 7m south of south aisle to Church of St. Mary GV II Double bale tomb. Dated 1673 and 1675. Limestone. Rectangular, base comprising 2 chests with common top and base. Plain recessed inscription panels. Cyma moulded base; cornice moulded top. Bales have spiral gadrooning with cherubs' heads to west ends, deaths' heads to east. Inscribed to Richard Marchant, died 1675.
