THATCHAM CHAPEL ST. (North side) SU 56NW 2/6 The Old Bluecoat School

Chapel, now shop. Fiunded 1304 and dedicated to St Thomas, windows altered in C17, porch added in C19. Flint and brick plinth, rendered with stone dressings, old tile roof. 2 bays. North and south windows with moulded surrounds, returned hood moulds and wooden mullions and transoms. Blocked doorway at east end of south side with 2 centred arch and hood mould with square stops. West end has gabled porch with 2 centred arch and hood mould with square stops; flanked by C14 canopied niches and with small blind arch in gable end above.
