House of late C17 with early C19 pair of houses attached to South. Blue lias stone and plain tile roofs. Rome and The Cottage are a T-plan house, the North cross-wing largely rebuilt in C19 red brick. South end brick stack on stone base, ridge stack to cross-wing. Main range has 2 modern 1st floor casements, 2 ground floor doors and C19 casement in original but lowered opening. Gable end of cross-wing has brick cambered head windows, 3 light to ground and 1st floors, 2 light to attic. To rear of main range is one original wood cross-mullion window with iron opening light. Greystones is double fronted with two 1st floor casements, 2 ground floor casements and central door. Cambered brick heads. Weavers Cottage has two 1st floor casements and ground floor door and window. These 2 cottages are included for group value.
