Details

ODDINGTON UPPER ODDINGTON SP 2225 10/193 Kitsbury Orchard 25.8.60 GV II Detached house. Late C17-early C18, mid C18, C19 and C20. Rectangular C17 block with mid C18 extension attached at right angles on left, C19 barn (now converted) attached right. C20 extensions to rear of mid C18 and C19 parts, not of special interest. Late C17-early C18 part sandstone, C18 part coursed, squared and dressed limestone, ashlar quoins and stacks. C19 converted barn coursed, squared and dressed limestone. C17 body projects forwards right; 2 storeys and garret; 2 and 3-light double-chamfered, stone-mullioned windows with stopped hoods in gable end and side walls. Mid C18 wing set back at right angles left; 2 storeys and attic lit by 2-light casements, 3-windowed facade, C19 cross windows with wood mullions and leaded casements within plain surrounds with keystones. Central glazed C20 double door with keystone, 2-light stone-mullioned cross windows in left gable end. Gable-end stacks to mid C18 part with moulded cappings. Interior not inspected.
