Forecourt wall, railings and gates to Bridge End House
(formerly listed as Gate piers railings and gates to Bridge End House)

Forecourt wall, railings and gates. Early C18. Squared stone with cut
dressings; wrought iron. Rusticated piers with attached jambs, pulvinated
friezes and moulded caps with ball finials on swept bases. Double gates with
scrolly half rail and dogbars with trefoil twist tops; tall scrolly overthrow
has central panel with monogram of opposed Bs. 0.6 metre high forecourt walls
have rusticated angle quoins and low arched coping. Rails have urn-topped
standards and bars with alternating swept arrowhead and twist tops. Near each
end is a scrolly panel; similar paired panels in centre of each return. Top
rail continuous above small gate on right return.
Ironwork in poor condition at time of survey.
