SU 7505 HAVANT KING STREET Emsworth (East Side) 16.5.52 11/67 No. 28 (Holmwood) II

House. Early C18, with early C19 details. Brick, slate roof, symmetrical front (south) of 2 storeys, 1.1.1 windows. Red brickwork in Flemish bond, rubbed flat arches, slightly projecting centrepiece. Hipped slate roof with spaced coupled eaves brackets. Sashes in exposed frames, triple light to the centre. Doorway with large canopy on brackets, reeded architrave, 6-panelled door, with (later) small windows on each side. North-side extension of the early C19. Forecourt brick wall, endings in piers with stone ball finial. Rear elevation (early C18 with early C19 details) of 2 storeys and attic, 3.2 windows. Hipped slate roof with modillion cornice, 1 hipped dormer with casement. Sashes in exposed frames (one casement), central ground floor within a reeded framework, 2 sashes and French window, and a slate canopy. Rendered walling, with a plinth.
