Details

BLEDINGTON THE GREEN SP 2422 12/63 Village Farm GV II Detached house. Core probably C17-early C18 extended late C18 and C19 with alterations to early core C19 and C20. Coursed squared and dressed limestone, stone slate roof to left end, concrete tile roof on right, ashlar and brick stacks. Red brick extension at rear. Rectangular plan with single storey extension at right angles rear left. Main body in two parts; left side 2 storeys, with 2 half dormers lit by 6-pane sashes with concrete lintels, matching windows on ground floor, panelled partly glazed door lower left. Late C18 extension right; 3 storeys, 2-windowed; 20-pane sashes to ground and first floor with keystones within plain surrounds with moulded tops. Dressed surround to 12-pane casements to third floor also. Steeply pitched roof to left gable-end with flat gable-end coping and brick stack. Ashlar gable-end stacks to gable-ends of late C18 part, flat gable-end coping at right gable- end. 'Tudor'-arched stone fireplace in far left-hand room. Interior not inspected.
