GV II
Row of three chest tombs. Chest tomb nearest porch to Mary Attwood, died 1746 and two of her sons. Limestone, sandstone capping. Moulded plinth. Rectangular fielded inscription panel on north side with hanging foliate decoration either side. Fielded panels at either end with quadrant corners with foliate decoration. Sanctus cross on a panel at west end. Unidentified tomb. 0.5m north of the preceding monument. C17. Illegible inscription on north side within raised margin with quadrant corners, paLm leaf fronds above, hanging flower decoration either side. Rectangular panel with no legible inscription on south side. Lighted lamps on engaged pedestals either side. Foliate decoration tied with ribbon at top on sides of bulging tomb ends. Lyre-shaped tomb ends. Octagonal panel with quadrant corners at west end with traces of inscription. Oval inscription plaque without inscription at east end. Thick capping with moulded margin. - - -- Unidentified tomb, c0.75m north of the preceding monument. C17. Limestone with sandstone capping. Lyre-shaped ends with oval inscription panels. complete slabs which formerly formed sides of tomb stacked under capping (April 198-5). One with rectangular inscription panel with crossed bone decoration in margin.
