DOWDESWELL - SO 91 NE 4/21 Pegglesworth Home Farm GV II
Detached house. C17, C19 and C20. Coursed squared and dressed limestone, stone slate roof. 'L'-shaped house plan, wing extending back rear right forms left side of yard, C20 range forms rear, C17 block running forwards on right with single storey C19 extension to gable end. House; symmetrical facade, 2 storeys and attic lit by full Cotswold dormers. 1:1:1 windowed; 2 and 3-light double- chamfered stone-mullioned casements with continuous hoodmoulds. Projecting central C20 2½ storey porch lit by 2-light stone- mullioned windows (some reused). Studded plank door with moulded 'Tudor'-arched surround with carved foliate spandrels. Hoodmould stepped up over door with carvings of large 4-petalled flowers either side. C17 block forming right-hand side of courtyard lit by stone-mullioned windows. Wide flat-chamfered 'Tudor'-arched doorway with plank door, C20 part-glazed door up 3 steps in same range towards rear of yard. Projecting stack from left gable end of house, axial and lateral stacks also, all with moulded cappings. Slightly stepped gable-end coping with roll saddles. Interior not inspected.
