3/85 Amberley House II
Detached house. Reputedly built 1772 to house curate, altered and extended late C18-early C19 and C20. Red brick, red tile roof, brick stacks. Rectangular plan with late C18-early C19 stable block set back from facade on right. C20 conservatory set back left and flat-roofed C20 extension at rear not of special interest. Symmetrical, 3-storey, 3-windowed facade, mostly 12-pane sashes. Venetian window at centre of first floor. Six-pane sashes to second floor. All windows with gauged brick heads. Band between ground and first floor. Single storey late C18-early C19 stable- block set back on right with access from rear. C20 eight-panelled door with fanlight towards main body on left. Original front door with moulded surround within gable-end of main body now obscured by stable-block extension. Plain dentil decoration at eaves front, sawtooth dentils at rear. Projecting gable-end stacks. Interior not inspected. (Hasfield Estate).
