Details

WEST BOROUGH 1. 5193 (west side) No 3 (Messrs Dibbens' Offices) (formerly listed SU 0000 SE 2/135 14.6.52 as No 2) II GV 2. C18, extended to rear in C19. Colourwashed brick walls, tiled roof with slate eaves course. Brick stacks. Rear extension of brick with slate roof. Doorway with 6 panel door and flat moulded hood on console brackets. North of this an inserted canted bay window with double hung sashes with a timber dentil cornice. South of the door, a similar canted bay, and one double hung sash window with centre glazing bar. Blocked door opening at south end of facade. First floor has 4 double hung sash windows with central glazing bars. Plaster keystones to arches. South of the main building an archway leads to a through passage. Above this is a 3-light double hung sash window with glazing bars. Interior much altered. Staircase appears early C19, with simple handrail and square balusters. RCHM Monument 61.
