CORNHILL-ON-TWEED A 698 NT 84 SE (South side, off ) 4/28 Henlaw Tunnel c.400 yards south- west of Tillmouth Park Hotel GV II
Tunnel. c.1810 for Sir Francis Blake. Ashlar c.4 ft. wide,6ft. 6 inches high and 100 ft. long. Ashlar with iron railings.
North entry has round arch with arch ring and triple keystone. South entry is similar, approach down flight of 10 steps with railings.
The tunnel has a round tunnel vault, the first 30 ft. in ashlar, the remainder in rusticated ashlar.
One of the garden features in Tillmouth Park, set apparently in an artificial mound.
