HEDENHAM CHURCH ROAD TM 39 SW 6/71 Dovecote immediately 25-9-51 east of Park Bungalow

Dovecote. Dated 17 CG 69 on door lintol. Red brick, plaintiled roof. Hexagonal on plan. Doorway in west side: pointed arched head with ventilation slats above square-headed door frame. Rubbed brick arch with rendered keystone. Boarded and battened door. Square angle pilasters with plain caps and bases. Pointed-arched openings with rubbed brick arches and slatted vents in bays flanking doorway. Brick dentil eaves course. Roof rises to hexagonal cupola with lead-covered ogee dome surmounted by weather vane. Interior: brick nesting boxes on all sides; roof entirely renewed c.1980. Park Bungalow not listed.
