ST 30 SE THORNCOMBE HEADSTOCK ROAD 3/43 New House (Nos 1 and 2) II Two attached cottages, formerly one farmhouse. Mid C17. Rubble walls with stone quoins. Thatch roof. C18 brick stack. Two storeys. Four window range with wooden casements and one stone mullioned window and label. One stone-coped, gable end on North end. Interior: 2 Deep-chamfered beams. Two large open fireplaces. Cross passage flagstones. Plank door. Source R.C.H.M. Dorset I, p 248(35).
