II

Detached house. Mid-late C17, extended C20. Coursed limestone rubble with dressed stone quoins; stone slate roof; C20 artificial stone stack on stump of ashlar stack. 'L'-shaped plan with single- bay C20 extension in Cotswold style to the west gable end; C20 lean-to porch at rear. Main body: 2 storeys and attic. South front: gable projects forwards to right with 4-light double- chamfered stone-mullioned casement with king mullion and stopped hood to the ground floor; similar 2 and three-light stone-mullioned casement to the first floor and attic respectively. Two and 3- light stone-mullioned casements to the projecting gable (all but one C20). Two C20 two-light slate-hung roof dormers. Doorway to the left-hand section of the projecting gable. Roadside front: C17 three-light double-chamfered stone-mullioned casement to the first floor; two single-light fixed casements with heavy-pegged frames (one above the other) probably lighting a stairway, to the right. Access via C20 panelled door to C20 lean-to porch at rear. Interior not inspected.
