Details
HALVERGATE SOUTH WALSHAM MARSHES TG 40 NE 5/52 South Walsham Mill G.V. II Windpump, mid C19, with tarred brick tower and remains of boat shaped weather- boarded cap protected with corrugated iron sheets. Tapering circular tower of 3 storeys. Two opposing boarded doors on ground floor, two windows on first floor and two windows on cap floor. Segmental brick arches. Remains of stock and sails. Cap frame and gallery bearers and iron gallery rail. Fan stage, fan frame and machinery. Internal machinery in cap and tower connected to remains of scoop wheel and weatherboarded hoodway. The cast iron sheer extensions are one of two remaining examples within the Norfolk Broads.
