Marley House
II
House. Previously known as "The Beeches". Probably C17 origin, altered and enlarged in C18 and c1830-40. Rear wing - the earliest part, has flint walls. Front wing has rendered walls. Slate roof, brick stacks with ornamental caps. Two storeys. Main facade has panelled door with fanlight. Ground floor has two three-light double-hung sash windows with raised surrounds. First floor has three double-hung sash windows with centre glazing bars and raised surrounds. Modern conservatory on south-east side with some re-used classical columns. Internally, two ground floor rooms in rear wing have C18 carved fireplace surrounds, in a large chimney stack.
