Details
PAINSWICK THE GREEN, Sheepscombe SO 81 SE 2/109 Coldstream cottages II Row of cottages, probably 3 or 4, now 2. C18 or possibly earlier. Squared and coursed limestone, front roof slope stone slate, rear concrete tile. Two storeys and attic, 4 + 1 windows; gable to road. 3-light chamfered mullion casements generally, but recessed chamfer in bay 2, and one 2-light chamfered mullion casement first floor, right; stopped hood-moulds at ground floor, and continuous over bays 3 and 4, together with door, but mould now cut back; further doors between bays 1 and 2, and extreme right, all plank. Gable end to street has three C20 windows, and mainly C20 at back, but two C19 at far end. 2-light gabled dormer over bay 3. Gable stack, left, and 3 ridge stacks, 2 of these rebuilt.
