TF 92 SW BRISLEY FAKENHAM ROAD Potthorpe 4/10 Walnut House

- II Cottage. C17 and later. Coursed flint with brick dressings and occasional header levelling courses. Pantiled roof. 2 storeys with attic. West facade of one 2-light and one 3-light C19 casement windows in original openings. C19 panelled front door inserted into former 3-light ground floor window. Former front door to north side of facade. 2 original small stair lights to southern end. Plain rectangular hood moulds to ground floor openings. Gable-end with one small window with rectangular hood- mould, 2 oculi in gable and internal stack. Rear facade partly obscured by later extension. 2 2-light and one single light cast iron casement windows with glazing bars in reduced original openings. Plain rectangular hood moulds to ground floor openings. Early C19 extension with one late C19 sash window with vertical glazing bars and horns. Lower early side extension in English bond brickwork with an C18 door-cum-3-light window beneath single segmental arch. Winding stair beside stack, bean with ogee and nicked chamfer stops and fireplace with corner paterae in C19 extension.
