5/60 Barn to east of Wise's on opposite side of street

GV II

Large barn. Early/mid C19. Random coursed rubble stone with alternating flush quoins, stone slate roof with coped verges. South-west side to street has tall projecting gabled cart entry with timber lintel, double timber doors and stone relieving arch, and flanking lean-tos forming catslides. Vertical battened door and 3-light window adjoining in lean-to to left. Right hand gable end has blocked pitch hole with window below and slit vent in apex. Two tiers of 2 square vents and top tier of small triangular vents. Quoin stones continue up beneath coping of verge to form stepped effect. Left hand gable end has 3 triangular vents on top tier, and iron weathervane on top of ridge. Rear and interior not accessible.
