TG 10 SE MULBARTON THE COMMON (west side) 2/26 The Malt House

- II Dwelling. C17 lobby entrance type house with a tall early C19 side addition. Timber-frame refaced with brick to original wing. Colour- washed brick to addition. Pantiled roofs. Original wing of one storey with attic. 2 C18 mullion and transom windows with metal casements and board shutters. Front door opposite off-centre axial stack. Remains of rusticated jambs to former openings at southern end. 4 gabled dormers with some C18 metal casements. Side addition of 3 storeys with cellar and 3 bays of sash windows with glazing bars reduced in height with each storey. Skewback arches. Central upper window blind Gable-end stacks. Original wing with ovolo moulded spine beam with ogee stops. Stair to entrance side of stack with C17 turned landing balusters. C20 roof.
