Detached house: C15, 17, extension 1979. Timber-framed with brick
nogging, stone plinth; random rubble gable, irregular-bond yellowy
brick above, extension rendered concrete block with dummy framing,
thatched roof. 2-bay house extended 1 bay on right; 1½ storeys.
Front: open timber porch with tiled leanto roof, over boarded door.
On right 3-pane timber window; left tie to cruck penetrates stud:
beyond 4-pane wooden window and curved brace. Stone end of gable
shows. 2-light wooden casement window in dormer. Left gable stone
and brick, plain chimney: leanto weatherboarded extension over
part, double-roman tile roof.
Internally entrance into narrow bay, cruck truss on left, probably
originally open. Boarded doors ground and first floors in truss.
Heavy chamfer to longitudinal ceiling beam ground floor room on
left; large fireplace, with iron range at back, crane over, oven
on right. Spiral stair formerly in recess on left. Narrow bay
reported half-open to roof until 1979: extension replaced leanto.
