Large detached house. c1830 with late C19 additions. Coursed and squared limestone; ashlar front facade; stone-slate roof; ashlar chimney stacks with unmoulded string and cap. Main range of 3 storeys with central staircase hall and 1 room laterally; wing runs back at west end of 2 storeys with attic; 2 parallel 2- storey wings at back, both C19. Front of 5 windows, all sashes, 9-pane to top floor; plain banding between windows at each floor level; central doorway has partly glazed porch added in C20 with weather-boarded gable; altered front door, partially glazed; ridge chimneys at each gable end, with additional chimney towards front at lower gable end. Single window to each floor of west wing: all small-paned casements in segmental arches, attic window in gable being smaller with slit vent over; projecting gable chimney stack at rear end of wing. Scattered fenestration to service wings: timber casements and stone flat arches over. Front windows retain shutters; one Regency fireplace in principal room to left of front doorway.
