Pecketsford Bridge

II

Road bridge over River Taw. Late C18-early C19. Local slate rubble with dressed voussoirs, granite coping stones. Single span bridge with large segmental, almost round-headed, arch. The walls rise to the parapet uninterrupted and the parapet, following the humpback of the road, rises towards the centre. The parapet walls curve out each end but have no terminal piers. The coping blocks are mostly plain but include a couple of moulded pieces reused from a domestic building.

The asset was previously listed twice also at List entry 1147036. That entry was removed from the List on 29 July 2016.

This entry was subject to a Minor Amendment on 29 July 2016.
