5/48 Nos. 1 & 2 Sprydon Cottages -

GV II

Pair of cottages. Early C19. Volcanic trap (Killerton stone) random rubble under gabled-end slate roof. End stacks. Front: 3 window range, slightly asymmetrical (the front door to the right-hand cottage being off-centre); all windows pointed, the 1st floor casements original, 2 of 2 lights, the central window of one, 4 panes to each light, with 4 panes above to apex. Ground floor, 6 panes below, 6 above. Panelled door with little glazed upper panels also looks contemporary. Gable walls of brick. Rear lean-to late C19. Interior not inspected.
