Details
KIRBY BEDON WOODS END ROAD TG 20 NE (east side) 2/34 Kirby House G.V. II House. Circa 1830. Brick with gault brick facade. Slate roofs. Facade of 2 storeys in 6 bays, that to right a contemporary addition which disturbs symmetry of elevation. 2 storey crenellated square porch entered through panelled door with fluted pilasters to surround. Pilasters rise to shell hood on paired brackets containing 7-vaned fanlight. This doorway is a later addition. Fenestration of sashes with glazing bars and gauged skewback arches. Modillion eaves cornice below hipped roof. 3 stacks on rear roof slope. Rear wing of 1930's. Staircase is open string with twisted balusters and ramped and wreathed handrail.
