Manor house, C16 timber framed, rendered and colourwashed, pantile roof, crow stepped gables. 3 bays, 2 storeys; chimney bay and off-centre axial stack to left; full height 3-storeyed porch to centre right; end internal stack to later additions to left and right gable ends; rear wing to right. Principal facade to south: varied fenestration, mostly C20 insertions. 3- storeyed porch in rendered brick, c.1600, crow stepped gable, octagonal finials to gable and to clasping polygonal buttresses; basket headed porch arch within square head; pediments to openings of all 3 storeys. Doorway with double chamfered frame with decorative stops. East gable to right with single storeyed early C20 addition in brick. West gable to left rebuilt; attached single storeyed range of later C20 of no special interest. Rear: early C17 stair turret to chimney bay, timber framed and rendered, gabled 2 storeyed turret with attic and cellar; 4-light wood mullioned window to first floor centre bay; various fenestration lean-tos and additions. Rear wing to left part across first bay: brick and timber framed, gable end with some brick tumbling in and ovolo mullioned windows to ground and first floor. Interior: timber framing exposed; bays 2 and 3 now one room with large fireplace either end, that to chimney bay with basket arch; bay 3 with lozenge mullions to former openings, front and rear. Doors to rear right and stair in front of right gable end stack with C18 painted scenes. Wide dogleg staircase to stair turret with acorns to double newels; stopped beams to turret tie beams and stopped chamfers to stairway doorframes. Roof with curved collars, partially renewed.
