GV II

House. Circa early-mid C19, altered C20. Rendered stone rubble. Gable-ended roof reclad in asbestos tiles. Rendered gable end and axial stacks. PLAN: 2 front rooms, the left room heated from a large gable-end stack and smaller service rooms at the back. Formerly 2 cottages, the doorway on the right now a window. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys. 2 window range south front with C19 12-pane sashes, first floor smaller; former doorway on right replaced by a small sash window with glazing bars; doorway to left of centre with C20 door and canopy. At rear, another storey with a flat roof has been added. INTERIOR: C19 joinery removed. Exposed softwood joists and fireplaces with reused timber lintels. First floor has axial ceiling beams; left [W] chamber has fireplace with simple reeded chimneypiece and cupboard to side with panelled doors.
