House. Probably C17 in origin, alterations of the C20. Whitewashed rendered cob on stone footings ; thatched roof, hipped at right end ; 2 rear lateral stacks. Plan: Single depth main block, 2 rooms wide, with a central passage ; 1960s rear addition. The relationship between April Cottage and Brookfield (q.v.) adjoining at the left (south) is not clear. Asymmetrical 3 window front with a front door to left of centre into a passage. Plate glass C20 windows in timber frames. Interior: Modernized. Timber panelling said to survive behind modern wall plaster on party wall with Brookfield (information from owner).
