GV II
House. Late C18, early C19 rear wing, C20 low rear extension. Yellow brick with hipped slate roofs. 3-storeys and cellar, 3 windows wide house set back from road, facing E, with 2-storeys, 2 windows wide rear wing flush with S end of house, single-storey building at its W end with gable chimney, and low infill in rear angle. Symmetrical E front has parapet, flat gauged arches to recessed sash windows with 3/3 panes, central circular gauged window at 2nd floor, pointed central window with Gothick Y-tracery, and unusual projecting square porch with entablature and pilasters at wall of 4 clustered Gothic shafts and Corinthian caps. 6-panels, half-glazed door. Interior has original stair at 1st floor rear with column newel and moulded handrail up to 2nd floor. Carved 4-panels door and wood chimneypiece on 2nd floor.
