Stables, cow house, loose box and former fodder room and farmworkers'
accommodation, the latter two now store. Early and mid-C19. Red brick
(monk bond) with stone hinge blocks, slate and corrugated iron roofs.
L-plan. One storey and two storeys. Dentil brick eaves cornice to later
2-storey block. Former stable block to north: 2-light wooden loft windows
to right; 4 ground-floor segmental-headed slatted wooden windows and two
two-leaf segmental-headed boarded doors. Flight of 9 stone tallet steps
up to segmental-headed boarded loft door in right-hand gable end; blocked
circular pitching eye in left-hand gable end. Segmental-headed cart
entrance at rear with pair of large boarded doors. Cow house and loose
box to south: 2 segmental-headed slatted wooden windows alternating with
2 segmental-headed slatted boarded doors; segmental-headed slatted wooden
casement in left-hand gable end. Former store and farmworkers'
accommodation to south-east: 2 boarded doors to south, that to right with
segmental head. Ridge stack off-centre to right. Interior not inspected,
but said to contain many early and mid-C19 fixtures and fittings, including
stalls, mangers and feeding troughs, and tie rings. These buildings form
part of a complete early and mid-C19 model farm complex. National Trust,
