Cottage. First half of C18 with adjacent smithy. Local stone rubble; undulating plain clay tile roof between coped gables; stone end chimney stacks with brick caps. 2 storeys, 3 bays with single storey smithy on North West corner. 2-light C20 casement windows with diamond leaded glass panes under older exposed timber lintels; central boarded entrance door in heavy slightly moulded frame. Smithy links this property to Bridge Cottage (qv).
Interior: stop and runout chamfered beads, otherwise much modified.
Brick wall about 1 metre high projects from South West corner, with stone coping, with return along roadside boundary as low brick wall with stone coping capped by simple railings; a central gate has bud finial standards and matching finials to middle rail.
This cottage is in a significant position in the centre of the village.
