House, formerly block of two houses. Early C18, divided and formalised in early
C19. Timber-framed, two storeys, two windows house facing W with
gabled old red tile roof and internal gable chimney at N.
Weatherboarded end walls and rear extensions. Lateral rear
chimney at N. Weatherboarded end walls and rear extensions.
Lateral rear chimney to S end at junction with rear wing.
Plastered front with symmetrical arrangement of one window on each
floor, each side of gabled rustic porch. Whole scheme offset to
S to allow for depth of chimney at N end. 6-panel flush beaded
door in moulded surround. 2-light moulded wooden windows
with ovolo moulded mullions and jambs and cast iron casements
with rectangular panes and pointed heads. Cast iron pump with
double spurred spout near NW corner. An interesting C18
timber-framed house. Part of picturesque group next
to Plume of Feathers P H.
