SX 9073-9173 BISHOPSTEIGNTON FORE STREET (north side), Bishopsteignton 13/43 Nos 20A and 20B -
GV II
House with shop front. Early-mid- C19 with later C19 shop front. Whitewashed and stuccoed, probably stone rubble ; concrete tile roof, hipped at ends ; projecting left end stack. Plan: Double depth plan with entrance to house at the extreme right and a shop door central to the shop window to the left. Exterior: 2 storeys. Asymmetrical front. 2 C20 2-light first floor casements. On the ground floor an original shop front with thin pilasters and an entablature, 2 6- pane shop windows with shop doorway between with a rectangular overlight and C20 half-glazed door. Integral with the shop front a pilastered doorway to the house with a rectangular overlight and C19 panelled door. Interior: Not inspected. Very prominent in Fore Street on a raised pavement above the road.
