7/67 Barn approx. 50 metres west-south-west of Botter's Farmhouse

Barn. Early C16. Timber framed, plastered and weatherboarded, main roof thatched, midstrey roofed with handmade red clay tiles. 4 bays aligned E-W, with later midstrey to S. W bay formerly partitioned from the remainder. Jowled posts, heavy studding with curved tension braces trenched to the outside, edge-halved and bridled scarf in wallplate, arched braces to cambered tiebeams (some replaced by bolted knees). Roof rebuilt above tiebeam level in clasped purlin form.
