7/69 Fulbeck House (Formerly listed under Lincoln Road) 19-2-52 II*

Small country house, circa 1700 with alterations and additions of late C18, C19 and C20. Coursed limestone rubble with ashlar dressings, hipped slate roof with lead dressings, two moulded ridge stacks. Originally a simple box plan, but with late C18 left hand wing and right hand block of circa 1850 with canted bay window. Main east front of 5 bays and 2 storeys plus attics. First floor band, moulded and dentillated eaves course, rusticated quoins. Central half glazed C18 door in a moulded surround with frieze surmounted by curious segmental pedimented head with outsize modillions. This head is in the same yellowish limestone as the mid C19 addition to the right, and is probably of that date. To the left of the door is a pair of original sashes with thicker glazing bars than the rest; 2 further sashes to right. The 5 first floor windows are similar. All windows have moulded eared surrounds. In the roof is a balanced pair of pedimented glazing bar sash dormers. Inside , there has been much alteration, and 2 roundbacked fireplaces in the principal rooms appear to be the only remaining early features.
