10/53 Ladyshore House 2.6.82 - II
Office and stables, now house. dated 1833. For Ladyshore Colliery. Coursed stone with slate roofs. 2 storeys, the house of 3 bays, the stables of 4 bays, recessed and lower. House has casement windows, originally mullioned. 4-centred entrance has hoodmould and fanlight; C20 gabled porch. Stables have 3 single-chamfered- mullioned windows to ground floor, one row casement. 1st floor has 3:7:7:3-light window. Entrance to left has label mould, central entrance has overlight and 4-panel door; entrance to right is wide, with 4-centred head, datestone over. Gable-end stack to house and cross-anxial stack to stables. Right return has 2 entrances and 2 windows to 1st floor. Rear of stables has lunettes to ground floor and pitching eyes above. C20 re-entrant block between stables and house. Stables have some original stalls.
