20/52 Willow Farmhouse and outbuilding adjoining to left
GV II
Farmhouse and outbuilding. Farmhouse early - mid C18 with later C18 - C19 outbuilding, raised in later C19. C20 alterations. Coursed limestone rubble with brick dressings and stacks, outbuilding raised in brick; colour- washed throughout. C20 concrete pantile roof to house and adjoining section of outbuilding, concrete tiles to lower outbuilding. Plan: 3 rooms with 2-room central entrance-hall section to right; 2-room outbuilding to left with blocked entrance adjoining house. House: 2 storeys, 2 first-floor windows. Outbuilding: single storey and low 2 storeys, 2 windows. House: recessed C20 half-glazed door flanked by replacement plate-glass sash to right and 2 similar sashes to left. First floor: 2 similar sashes, blocked window to left. All openings beneath chamfered concrete rendered lintels. Stepped and dentilled brick eaves cornice. Axial stack to left, end stack to right. Outbuilding: blocked door on right; to left, a ventilation hatch beneath a segmental arch, and a board door with strap hinges beneath a lintel at eaves level. Interior of house retains beams to kitchen on left and 6-fielded-panel doors to entrance hall.
