7/270 Walls to Walled Garden, at Huntercombe Manor - - II
C16. Red brick; approximately 10 ft high. L-shaped on plan. Seven entrances, 6 of them with wrought iron gates, 5 modern pairs and one early C19 perpen- dicular pattern. Three entrances set into wall, one with semicircular arch, one with cambered relieving arch and one with wooden lintel. Three pairs of gate piers with stone urns, one pair with stone pyramids, and one pair with flat coping stones topped by flattened stone pyramids. In the north-east cor- ner, a large brick pier with stone pineapple capping. One small square opening with wrought iron grating.
